General description:
Endogeic earthworm common in most habitat but particularly prevalent in grasslands. Avoid acidic environments such as heathlands and mires.
Behaviour:
More tolerant of disturbances than Allolobophora chlorotica.
Morphology:
Male pores located on segment 15 overlapping onto segment 14 and 16.
Clitellum may start as early segment 25 but is usually located between 29 and 34-35.
TP represented by two humps on segments 31-33.
Closely paired setae.
